Rogers and Willard is thrilled to announce the completion of a total interior renovation of Mellow Mushroom in Mobile. The landmark restaurant dominates the northeast corner of University and Old Shell with its distinctive vintage signage—an apt reflection of the franchise's eclectic and creative approach to design. Established in 1974, Mellow Mushroom opened their Mobile location to rave reviews and it was back in 2016 that Rogers and Willard completed our initial renovation of the space. Our relationship with the franchise continued to evolve over time and we are proud to have built their design-forward location in West Mobile in 2017. Fast forward to 2022 and the fresh new look is true to Mellow Mushroom's laid-back vibe: all new recessed lighting has replaced overhead and track lighting features, and new countertops, fresh paint, and ceramic tiled floors give the space a relaxed but polished look. We also created a new server station by filling in an underutilized doorway, and completely gutted two bathrooms, replacing men's and women's rooms with two unisex bathrooms with floor to ceiling tiles. A brand new mural, handcrafted table, and artisan light fixture tie it all together in their signature 'Blues on the Bayou' style.
